The 20th annual IChemE Awards Dinner took place this year in Bolton on 7th November. Hosted by the Apprentice’s Nick Hewer, the evening celebrated team and individual achievements across all aspects of the chemical and process industries.
Simon Carves were once again proud sponsors of the Core Chemical Engineering Award; an award which recognises the ‘project or process that best demonstrates a chemical engineering solution to improve resource efficiency, lifetime value and/or process optimisation’.1 This year it was won by Eindhoven University of Technology for their innovative Rotor-rotor multiple spinning dis extractor, with Britest Ltd’s fast, flexible, modular production technology – F3 Factor - highly commended runner up. Our Congratulations go to both processes.
With 500 guests from across the industry and winners from around the globe, the event highlighted the truly global nature of the IChemE, and was a fantastic way to celebrate the excellence in Chemical Engineering.
We wish to congratulate all of those shortlisted, especially the winners, and look forward to next year’s event.
