    Gulf Fluor Start-Up

Gulf Fluor Launches the Largest Aluminium Fluoride Plant in the Middle East.

Gulf Fluor’s Aluminium Fluoride Complex in Abu Dhabi began commercial production on May 5th 2015.  This complex is the first of its kind in the region, and the fifth largest aluminium fluoride complex in the world, capable of producing: 60kta al uminium fluoride, 140kta sulphuric acid, 54kta hydrofluoric acid, with an additional water purification plant.

The Sulphuric Acid plant is based on Simon Carves technology, and Simon Carves were responsible for the detailed engineering design of  the sulphuric acid plant; providing ‘cutting edge solutions’ for delivery of this world class facility. H.E. Al Khyeli, Gulf Fluor CEO, said that ‘one of the pillars of Gulf Fluor’s success has been the formation of strategic partnerships with leading organisations. Teaming up with Buss ChemTech AG of Switzerland and Simon Carves of the UK, Gulf Fluor has, uniquely, had access to unparalleled products of exceptional quality. This strong foundation will help establish Gulf Fluor's status regionally and globally as a company of repute.’

Simon Carves is very proud to have supported this project, and to see the plant up and running.
